Like any form of drug, weight loss pills are habit-forming and this means like any drug, over time, increased doses will be required to achieve the same effect that a smaller dose did in the beginning, eventually leading to a dependency where somebody cannot live without them.

Under controlled conditions, weight loss pills can be very effective, although they should not be considered as the only way to treat a weight problem particularly when more emphasis should be placed on healthy eating. It is far better to re-teach someone how to eat healthily and to adjust their eating habits to have smaller more regular meals to increase their metabolic rate and burn off excess calories.

Getting away from sugary drinks and drinking more water will also be very beneficial to your weight loss also. Not every dietary plan will work for everyone so it may take time to find one that suits you, although it is possible to lose that excess weight and enjoy good food as keeping weight off can be as hard as losing it in the first place.

Once you lose the weight, you must work to keep it off and falling back into bad eating habits will put the pounds back on again so diet pills are not necessarily the answer to losing weight as the risks from weight loss pills can be too great. Forget using diet pills as the only method of weight loss, carry out some research into a healthy weight loss diet and start eating healthy, and then you will see the pounds slowly start to come off although it may take some time. No-one becomes overweight in a matter of days so your weight loss should be viewed in the same way to ensure it will remain off.
