Hoodia Patch For Weight Loss Helpful Article

Weight loss patches are viewed by quite a few as a substitute for diet pills, however in recent years, the US Federal Trade Commission has issued a warning against the use of a weight loss patch for weight loss as a number of companies make misleading claims about its effectiveness. A weight loss patch claims to help in weight loss by either suppressing your appetite or helping you burn excess fat, attached to the skin it releases appetite suppressants and other chemical substances into your body.

As the weight loss patch is worn on the skin, there is no loss of important chemical substances that some other weight loss systems loose when they are digested in the stomach. It has long been known that patches with slow release chemical substances work more efficiently than those of tablets as the chemicals are released directly into the bloodstream which means they start working quicker and are not diluted down.

It has been know for some time that certain molecules can be absorbed directly through the skin and then into the bloodstream which means they are able to be used by the body much faster and for a more prolonged period. This allows a massive ninety five percent of the medication to be absorbed which is far higher than traditional methods of delivery.

The important facet of this process is the size of the molecules used because if they were too large the absorption wouldn’t happen. Weight loss sin patches also contain the drugs similar to other weight loss plans, namely caffeine, chromium and hydroxycitric acid.

The claims made for the effectiveness of these weight loss patches are still debatable and consumers should not believe everything they read or hear about them as other factors are involved. There are those that believe that while a person wears a weight loss patch, other psychological factors involving the fact that the patch is actually being worn to lose weight may go someway to producing the results.

Weight loss patches are best adhered to the back or shoulder area, although they can be placed anywhere, but the area does need to be clean of any oil or dirt otherwise it may not work at its optimum. Any hair in the area of application will also need to be removed before the weight loss patch is placed otherwise find another area that is free of hair.

This will ensure the patch will stick better and means that the absorption is more uniform. It is not advisable to wear weight loss patches in the bath or shower because although they will still work when dry some of the chemicals may have leached out of the patch so the patch may not be as effective as a fresh one. Weight loss patches should not be considered as the only system needed for the wearer to loss weight, but used in combination with other weight loss methods which would include exercise and a proper diet.
