Useful Information About
Natural Weight Loss Patch

Weight loss patches are viewed by quite a few as a substitute for diet tablets, although in recent years, the US Federal Trade Commission has issued a warning against the use of a weight loss patch for weight loss as a number of companies make misleading claims about its effectiveness. A weight loss patch claims to help in weight loss by either suppressing your appetite or helping you burn excess fat, attached to the skin it releases appetite suppressants and other chemical substances into your body.

The idea is that by introducing the chemical substances directly into the bloodstream via the skin, more of the important weight loss ingredients will be available which the stomach digestive fluids destroy when weight loss pills are used. By using the slow release patches, chemical substances are used to lower food cravings, increase the metabolism, and blockers that help stop certain oils and fats being absorbed by the body, are able to work directly and much more quickly than using other methods.

This is a recognized and safe system of delivering chemical substances and is only able to work with molecules small enough to be able to pass through the dermis or skin and into the blood. With this kind of delivery system, as much as 95 percent of any medication can reach the cells of the body through this manner as compared to the amount absorbed by the cells if the medication was taken orally.

To ensure that the weight loss skin patch would work, the molecules present in any medication to be used must of a size small enough to be absorbed through the skin. Weight loss sin patches also contain the drugs similar to other weight loss programs, namely caffeine, chromium and hydroxycitric acid.

The claims made for the effectiveness of these weight loss patches are still debatable and consumers should not believe everything they read or hear about them as other factors are involved. Some physicians believe that there is a psychological aspect to wearing a patch that is a constant reminder to the wearer which helps the person using the patch work harder at the weight loss plan they are following.

Even though you can put it anywhere on your body, a weight loss skin patch is recommended to be placed on the back or the shoulders and before applying always clean the area in order to remove any dirt and then dry the area completely before you place the patch on the skin. Wherever there is excess hair, you may want to remove excess hair first on a particular area before putting on the weight loss patch or to choose another area where there is less hair growth.

To ensure complete absorption of the chemicals, the weight loss patch has contained within the surface, it needs to be adhered to the skin properly without any gaps or raised areas. In case where weight loss patches get removed or wet, they can still be used although they are not guaranteed to work at the same rate as a newly-put weight loss patch would. As with any weight loss supplement, weight loss skin patches are most effective when used in combination with a healthy eating plan and regular exercise, and shouldn’t be relied on as a sole means of losing weight.
