First and foremost, there is no set meal plan that works for everyone. What will keep one person skinny might make another person sick. However, a method that works for many people is to reduce caloric intake.

If you burn off more calories than you take in, you will lose weight. Look carefully at how many calories each serving contains, and avoid foods with many chemicals. You don’t have to buy only organic food, but avoid things with a lot of preservatives.

There are also ready made meals with reduced calories, and a number of web sites that provide free recipes (www.allrecipes.com is a good one) with reduced calories.

It is also a good idea to avoid sugary foods. Fruit smoothies can be a double edged sword. They provide many vital nutrients, but can contain a lot of sugar, as many fruits are naturally full of sugars.

I also recommend that you eat a little more variety of foods than what you are presently consuming because (1) you will suffer a vitamin deficiency, and (2) you will become bored with what you are eating. Watch your calories, and get a device that measures how many calories you burn (Some pedometers will tell you, I think).

Good luck to you, and remember to notify your doctor before beginning any new diet/excercise plans.
