    I would advise:

drink at least 8 (8 fluid ounce) glasses of water a day- fills the stomach up throughout the day and aids metabolism

exercise in the morning before eating because the body instantly burns fats rather than just sugar for the first 20 minutes

try Lean Cuisine meals- low fat and carb content

walking a 1/2 hr a day, drinking plenty of water, & watch the calories you intake (you can check a calorie counter online to see the ideal amount based on height & weight) & eat sensibly

Go to jail for about 5 months…the food there is so nasty you will lose your appetite…I see you were trying to ask about exercise…not too extreme. Sorry, the jail thing was a joke. An hour long brisk walk with good shoes, on a daily basis. Eat smaller portions, and four or five times a day…make sure you get more of the fruits and veggies…less of the animal products. Raisin bread is an excellent source of energy. When you take your walks, it can be good to carry a couple of small dumbells. Also, work on your abs (sit-up type exercises) every day…vary from crunches, to curls when you do sit ups…make sure you have a thick mat or something to protect your spine and tailbone.

    Simple ways?

For the first week, eat what you normally do – but 1 less bite of everything. Instead of an entire candy bar, leave a bite…throw it away.

    Second week, 2 less bites

    and so on

Park further out at the store, mall and work. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. If a song comes on you just adore…DANCE! for the 3 minutes…just dance!

Eat something as soon as you get up. It will kick start your metabolism.

Drink lots of water with a drop of lemon juice in it. The lemon changes the molecular structure of the water and will keep you from retaining the water and help flush out your body.

Dont eat for 3 hours before bed.

Eat 5 or 6 small meals rather than 3 larger ones.

Find small ways to sneak in exercise. Like park far away when you go to the store.

When you fix yourself something to eat, take slightly less than you normally would take.

Eat slower. A good rule is to set down your fork in between bites. This will help you fill up on less food.

Drink a small (about 4oz) glass of milk before you eat. It will help make you fuller on less food, plus drinking 24oz of milk a day aids in weight loss. If you get the urge to snack, have a small glass of milk instead, or try eating sunflower seeds. They will keep your mouth busy and satisfy your need to munch without you intaking a lot of food
    Good luck!

as far as exercise goes, join your local Curves. Its cheaper than a gym. The machines are hydraulic so that you get the right workout for you. Its only a 30 min workout. The workout is designed to work all your muscles, and focuses on toning and slimming you rather than building bulk. I LOVE curves, its helped me to lose all that pesky baby weight and look even better than I did in highschool. I also find belly dancing classes to be a lot of fun. It works muscles you dont even realize you have, plus it makes you feel like a sexy, powerful woman.

Portion sizing and substitutions. Its easy. Egg whites only,no yolks, ever. no cheese, dressing, sauce, ect, unless fat free. Everything comes fat free. Fries ONLY in your oven using cooking spray, never oil or crisco,no fast food, not even a grilled chicken sandwich, except subway. When the bag says 9 tator tots is a serving, actually count out 9. This is hard at first but if you make mor, youll eat more. And chances are after the 9 and your sanwich or whatever youll be satisfied. Soon enough youll get used to not being stuffed. Water only.

I lost 10 lbs in two weeks.

Altough alot of the reason I don’t feel like eating is depression, I have not been eating as much

for breakfast I have a yogurt, and two egg whites.
for dinner i have a salad with 1 tbsp of cheese vinegar & oil dressing with splenda, if I have any left over meat i throw some of that on.
for supper I have grilled chicken breast, and a vegi like broccoli, or cauliflower, or green beans, and brow rice.
if I want a snack i have celery with laughing cow light spreadable cheese.
a big mistake is portion control, look them up. Meat for example is the size of a deck of cards. Cheese the size of two dominos. serving of spaghetti(dry) the thickness of your pinky finger.
    and walk walk walk.
Cutting out the sugar and the caffeine was hard for me for a few days, but now i feel great!!

Simple things you can do that are not going to change your entire lifestyle are to cut out soda and sugary beverages and replace them with water. Adding water to your diet has more benefits than just weight loss. Try drinking an 8 oz. glass of water before major meals to help fill you up some before you eat. When I eat I always eat my salad and vegetables first because they are the healthiest. Be careful with salad dressings and mayonaisse, oh and even margarines. Still use these things- but cut the amount at least in half- or opt for fat free and low fat versions. Watch your portion sizes- it is one of the number one problems that Americans have. You do not need to fill the plate just because it is big. Eat slower so you will feel full. When you are served large portions only eat half of them. Take the rest home for the next day. Meat has a lot of fat and calories and most people eat two or three servings in one sitting when our bodies only need one to function. So look up the recommendations for different meats and try to stick with them. Do not get seconds at dinner. Get an adequate amount of food the first time and wait 15 minutes before deciding to get more food. Do NOT skip breakfast it is truly the most important meal of the day and when you are hungry for a mid-day snack reach for something as healthy as you can take. I like kashi whole grain organic granola bars and fresh fruit. Sometimes I will eat a piece of low-fat string cheese. If you ignore these hunger pangs then you will end up over eating at your next meal. Starving yourself will actually pack on the pounds. If you can stand it switch to whole grain everything. When I did this I took one item at a time and now I really enjoy the flavor that whole grain and whole wheat bring to food. The trick is to continue eating an adequate amount of calories but to keep them as healthy as possible. Treat yourself every once in a while and try to get at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise 3 days a week. Of course more is better- I usually do 5 days a week- 30 to 40 min. of cardio all 5 days- ab work all 5 days- and toning with free weights every other time to give my muscles a 24 hour break. Make exercise work for you and your schedule- not the other way around. You are supposed to take 10,000 steps a day and most of us only take about half that. Get a pedometer and test yourself to see the average steps you take in a week. You would be surprised how quickly they can add up- but how many times you do not make it to 10,000.

These are just a few suggestions I can think of off the top of my head. The best and safest way to lose weight is through a healthy diet and adequate exercise. Don’t over do it or you will fail. Take it slowly adding something new as you go. If weight is going to stay off it has to come off slowly because of lifestyle changes you have made- not because of some little miracle pill. Try simple things like cutting out 100-200 calories a day and watch what happens after 6 months. For example if you are having your morning bagel and reach for the full fat cream cheese that you normally eat try bumble and brown spread with (I think) 0 calories. It is tasty and just as good on a bagel. You just saved yourself maybe 150 calories in one easy decision. Little steps like that will get you off to a great start and before you know it you will be making more and more decisions like this and the weight will just roll off. 1500 – 1900 calories a day is safe for most people. It depends on lifestlye. Anything under 1200 is not only setting you up to fail but very dangerous. Even 1200 is too low.

Remember- drink lots of water- muscle weighs more than fat- the more muscle you have the more fat you burn sitting on your butt- you burn more calories sleeping then you do sitting in front of the television (plus you don’t snack while you are sleeping)-you can not turn fat into muscle- you have to burn all the fat off and build all the muscle.

    Good Luck!
