It definitely pays to listen to Him. He created us…and I agree, eating God’s foods is so good for us. I went raw for over 20 days one time and felt awesome. Thanks for catching up with my videos today :0) Love ya mucho!!

One thing I’ve learned is that nothing that God has asked of us is ever bad for us. Even thousands of years ago, all of the things HE said we should/shouldnt eat is 100% correct. We are instructed to fast, and Ive never witnessed anybody having negative effects from it. About a month after I started eating “GOD’s foods” & eliminating “man’s foods”, I began to notice a difference in my attitude, appearance, & energy. It pays to listen to HIM! Love ya sis

As far as my faith goes…I turn to God for strength when I want to quit. In that sense, the two are connected. Thanks for your questions because they help sharpen what I believe.

From what I’ve read, the body doesn’t go into starvation mode until after 4 days of no food. The longest I fast is 19 hours in a row. I chose this method because it’s a no brainer. Dr. Herring believes and I concur that it’s easy not to eat than to teach someone what to eat or what amounts. It’s not tough at all…have you ever tried counting calories, weight watcher points, eating skimpy Jenny Craig meals, etc., for long periods of time??? That’s tough. Ifasting is much easier for me.

  • hislivingsacrifice says:

    That’s cool!!!

  • hislivingsacrifice says:

What you learned makes sense…I guess it depends on what one’s definition of “long periods” would be. I never fast more than 19 hours in a row. I’ve heard the body doesn’t go into starvation mode until after 4 days of no food.

Thankyou for for answering my question, and yea ,seems like its ok.

It’s just really bad i think if you eat junk food after fasting because the body would store that as fat, because your body would be in a state of starvation, and it’s a survival mechanisem.

Can I ask why you chose this method of dieting. it’s just seems so tough. Is it connected to your faith at all?

I read some sources that fasting may somewhat increase metabolism (maybe acutely?). Fat releasing and metabolizing enzymes are upregulated during fasting states. Straight from Brad Pilons highly researched audio files.

We just learned about nutrition in nursing school. The way that it was explained to us was that any time our bodies go through long periods without food….our metabolism does react by slowing everything down to store what nutrients we have in our body instead of allowing the body to use them for energy…I think that since you still mindfully watch what you eat within reason, you continue to drop weight in a healthy manor.
