It doesn’t matter how you spell it, you just want to lose it, right? Men would like a ripped body whether it is bulky or athletic and women would like flat stomaches, no love handles or muffin tops, and no thunder thighs. We would just like to fit into nice clothes and look good. And the good news is: You can do it. No matter how much you have to lose you can do it by starting today and following these steps.
Step #1 on how to lose wate…er…weight—what idiot put “eight” on the end of weight?
Get motivated, go back and find pictures of yourself before you gained the weight. Put them on the fridge to remind yourself that you are now in weight loss mode and you want to look like you did in those pictures. Then find fat pictures of yourself, go ahead and find the most hideous picture you can, and place them on the fridge to remind yourself not to give in to temptation. By the way, don’t stick the hideous pictures on your fridge with duct tape—I found out what a mistake this was when some friends dropped by unexpectedly. I couldn’t get the dang things off in time—sigh.
Step #2 on how to lose wate..er..I mean weight—I’ll get it right eventually.
Make a meal plan. Waiting until you are so hungry you could eat those stale cookies you found at the bottom of the cabinet yesterday is a bad time to decide what you are going to have for dinner tonight. You should plan meals two weeks in advance, really, I mean it…quit laughing! OK, so if you are a male then buy an on-line diet planner and it will plan the meals for you, or at least help your sorry butt do it. Short of that: get married. If your meals are planned, you will not stray off the reservation so easily. There are great on-line diets out there with meal planners that allow you to enter your favorite foods and voila it will help you plan a two week menu.
Step #3 on how to lose wate…doh! Weight
Plan your exercises ahead of time. Sitting on the edge of the bed at 6:00 am is not a good time to be weighing the pros and cons of sit-ups vs. running around the block. From my experience, you usually end up contemplating your exercise time away. Doh! Got to go to work. I guess I’ll start exercising tomorrow. Again, there are diet programs that will help you do this and believe me, if you are anything like me—God help you—you need one of these programs!
Step # 3 on how to lose weight. Yes, I got it right I wrote, how to lose wate…I mean weight, rats!
Stick with the program! If you preplan your meals, preplan your exercise routine, drink plenty of water and stick with it, losing weight (yes, I got it) will happen and it will be easier than you think. You do not have to think your way through the weight loss program because you have done it all ahead of time. If you do it in two week intervals, you can mix it up and have fun with it. In no time flat, you will be sliding into the jeans you bought years ago but have never been able to fit.
