I’ve been getting back into working out because I need to lose weight. The problem is that most of my fat is concentrated in my stomach and my legs are really small. I don’t want/need my legs to get any smaller but I really need this gut to shrink? What work outs can I do that will just target that fat and not the rest of my body?

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
    1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
    weight, lower for overweight).
    2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
    3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

You can’t target weight loss. Without liposuction or some other treatment. Its just a myth the only way is too burn off fat and it will come from any part of your body you can’t just lose stomach weight.

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

To answer your question, exercise workouts are great, but it will only tighten and tone the abdominal muscles underneath the fat, not the fat itself. This is also why those exercise machines you see in infomercials come with a eating and diet plan and a disclaimer that results vary, because it depends on how well you follow the diet.

Eating regularly and wisely will eliminate the stomach fat. Fat cells get stored up when they don’t get regular nourishment for fear that they don’t know when their next nourishment will come. Try to eat between 4 and 5 small 300-400 meals around the same time everyday to keep your hunger in check. Although it will seem like a lot of food at first, your body will thank you for it. If you have have a hectic schedule, replace a small meal with a calorie bar from companies like Clif, Odwalla, Larabar, and Luna. Eating every 3-4 hours gives your body the signal that it doesn’t have to store fat up for protection and it will flush the fat.

Also include lots of lean foods in your diet, such as salmon, olive oil, grains, and chicken. A good book to read on losing stomach fat is the “Flat Belly Diet” from Prevention magazine editors. Not only does it give you the tips on how to eat, but also the recipes and groceries to get as well.

Exercise will also benefit your goals in that while you’re losing the fat, you can to strengthen your abdominal muscles to give them a longer, leaner appearance. A good video to check out is “The Abs Diet Workout” from Men’s Health with instructor Tom Holland. It’s also based on a popular diet with some of the same guidelines. As for your small legs, you should try exercise aimed at strengthening them to get that shapely calf appearance, such as squats and lunges using small weights, which also shape your buttocks as well.

Following all of these tips should eliminate your stomach fat in no time.
