I just started drinking Sugar-Free Carnation Instant Breakfast with 1% Milk in hopes to drop some weight. My mother had Weight-Loss surgery to actually shrink the size of her stomach. The doctor told her to drink Carnation Instant Breakfast for every meal. She lost 30lbs in the first month. I am 5’8″ and 173 lbs. I would like to lose some weight or atleast shed inches off of my stomach and waist. So I am drinking the Sugar-Free Carnation Instant Breakfast for every meal, just like my mother did. Has anyone else tried this or have an success stories? If not, is there any “meal-replacement” drink that has worked for anyone? I have started to exercise along with the breakfast meals, but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me. Thank you!

    whatever you do don’t order acai berry supplements online you can buy them at any drug store or walmart, when you order them online they will keep sending you stuff and charging your credit card very hard to get them to stop, this was all over the news a few weeks ago

    To be honest, i would just cut out some sugars and carbs. If you want those drinks, buy Whey Protein, but some frozen fruit in there with skim milk and blend it. Its filling and not many carbs.
    Eat vegetables, eggs, meat. nothing fatty or fried and just do some cardio. If your body becomes too dependent on just liquids and you eat something solid you’ll hurt your stomache and get more sick.

    i know this might be a little more time consuming, but i recommend making your own shakes! buy some low fat yogurt and fresh organic fruit! it’s so delicious.

    Also, i just wanted to say thank you so much for answering my diet question with the thoroughness that you did. Your story really inspires me and your real-life, down-to-earth examples really give me the motivation i need. everything you said was “wow, that’s me too!” and “i didn’t even notice i do that!” that’s the kinda answer i needed, something with real advice, not just “eat fruit and veggies”- i know that already!! again, thanks so much, i will really take your words into consideration during my diet. (sorry for the odd way of thanking, you’ll get the 10pts for best answer soon!)
