I just started a new website for moms trying to lose weight after child birth. I am wondering what the web site could offer to help more. What would you be looking for the site to offer?
If it would help your answer you can take a look at it
http://mymommybody.com/Home_Page.php
It has a page for women to post their before and after photos, a place to ask questions and have them answered.
It also has a place to feature a mom of the month, a section for dads going through our weight loss journey with us, a place for moms to post their weight loss stories.
Theres a page for recipe ideas and one for a sample menu for the weeks worth of meals and exercise
It has a forum for women to discuss their issues and a chatroom
What else can I do to make the site more attractive
I am a mother of 3. After my third child 7 months ago I searched for a site directed at post partum women losing weight and it just didnt seem to be there. Now I am starting to feel good and would like to help other women.
Any ideas would be great!
It is really me post partum, but that is a very good point. I hadn’t really thought of that. Thats why Im posting on here for advise.
I had posted this picture on yahooanswers before and I cut the head of to hid my identity, but on the web sit there really isn’t any point to that now is there.
As for those people who said it’s not motivating to see me looking good I thought if I am going to preech that I can help people look good I better be able to show that I can do it myself. Don’t you think?
I didnt ever gain any and I got a handful.
soooo… were you trying to show off that you have a cute little mid line post par tum because I don’t… seeing your picture didn’t really make me feel very good about myself… I think that defeats your purpose doesn’t it?
A site directed at moms trying to lose weight would be more believable and inspirational if it was a little more realistic… like flab in the waist line… stretch marks… not a skinny girl.
and I’m not saying it’s bad you are skinny post partum. I’m happy for you… it’s just not sending me the right message…
Great idea…but can I ask, why you don’t include a picture of your whole body, instead of one with the head cut off? If that really is you, then way to go.
Edit: You are just starting to feel good? By the looks of that picture you should have been feeling good for awhile now.
maybe a section on excercises one can do w/ and w/o the baby present like taking your baby for a walk in the stroller or jogging alone. and some exercises to tone the buttocks back up. i know my behind ballooned up during pregnancy and then is now not toned. it seems to need some lift to it. lol andalso any way to get strech marks to fade or disapeer.
That’s annoying.
Why would you do a full body shot while pregnant but only half of one post-pregnancy? I’m doubting that it’s even you.
that 2nd pic luks familiar.. its either not u or uve shown it round before.. get one of u with ur face n ppl might believe that ur site isnt BS..
if i wer to see that b4 n after pic, i def wouldnt believ it was u n not take the site seriously!
wow, im surprised you got some negetive comments. it sounds like you are really trying to be helpful to me. in fact, your site offered so much that i couldn’t even think of anything to add.
I think definitely having pictures of all kinds of women with all kinds of different body types would be best. You seem to have sprang back very quickly, but that isn’t the case with everyone…..so probably a good idea to show all types of women and all the different results
Nah dnt do owt for me (sorry) Ill show you one hell of a before and after pic!
and just to add why dont you show your face? your not going to gain trust by not doin so.
