PostHeaderIcon Whey protein as meal replacement?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

It says to eat it with food and not to use it as a weight loss supplement on the packaging because it “doesnt settle well.” What does this mean?

I’m going for lean muscle. I am already at my ideal weight, but i have high body fat %.
Will I be able to decrease body fat % with protein?

NO!! don’t do any meal replacements!! Do more exercising!!!

Walking, jogging, running, biking!!! These all use up more calorie energy than you are likely to eat. Do any of them for an hour EVERY day. Do a different one every day!! But do an hour ! and don’t miss!

Don’t use it as a meal replacement. If you do that you won’t be getting the nutrition that you need. Eat your regular meals, but take the whey protein too. Just make sure eat normal. Whey protein makes a lot of people gain weight, not lose weight.

As a gastric bypass patient, I have used whey protein to SUPPLEMENT my protein intake.
Except for body builders, the average person can only digest an average of 30 to 35 grams of protein at a time.
You can eat a diet of higher protein and lower carbs, avoiding higher carb foods like starchy breads, potatoes, rice. Replace them with WHOLE grains and vegetables (the South Beach Diet has sound nutritional advice, even if you don’t want to lose weight).
To gain higher muscle to fat ratio in your body, but you would also need to exercise more and drink more fluids to offset the fat loss and help prevent ketosis in your body.
