During the hectic weekdays, simply retrieve one of the containers from the freezer and reheat it in the microwave.

Try to avoid bringing the higher calorie snack items into your environment as competition. If you do buy a higher calorie snack item, then purchase a small size. This is built-in portion control.

Creating a healthy safety zone with fast food restaurants begins at their website. Many restaurants post their menus and nutritional information for each item. Reviewing this information before you go can help you make a better decision because you won’t have tempting food smells clouding your judgment. Once you’ve decided what to order, then go to the drive thru to make your purchase. This will be additional insurance to ensure that you stick with your decision.
At work, you can head off the tendency to eat when you are really thirsty by keeping a full water bottle at your desk and drinking water regularly. Finally, you want to prepare for afternoon or morning snack breaks by keeping healthy snacks in your desk like high fiber fruits (apples, pears, or oranges are great), raisins, nuts, pretzels, air popped popcorn or low sodium vegetable-rich soups. Doing so will help to guard against vending machine trips.
